Location: La Fontenelle, France
Description: Course content will include four contrasting solo pieces, ensemble arrangements, discussions around arranging and composing for guitar and approaches to enhance musicality in performance. Each participant will also have the opportunity to receive a 30-minute 1-2-1 lesson as well as part of the course.
Whilst the course caters for varying abilities, it is recommended that participants have a good grasp of acoustic guitar basics (standard chord shapes and a few fingerstyle patterns) to gain the maximum benefit from this experience, and each course will end with an informal concert in front of a small invited audience.
Participants are asked to organise their own travel and you should aim to arrive on the Tuesday before the course begins and leave on the Sunday after the final day. Accommodation options are provided in and around the village, with more details provided on application.
The evenings provide opportunity to visit local restaurants with the group, and return for tunes around the kitchen table over a glass of calvados.
Timings: 10:00 - 17:00 every day with breaks for refreshments and lunch.
Fee: £375 which includes printed course materials, refreshments, lunches, and a welcome meal on the first night.
