What is it?
The College is an ever-growing online hub that gives you unparalleled access to all the tuition services, materials and videos I offer. It also offers regular group sessions online to share your playing, troubleshoot any tricky techniques, practice, and hear from special guests.
It’s divided into nine easy-to-navigate areas which you can learn more about below.
We’ve so far welcomed students from the UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Singapore, Czech Republic, India, Philippines and China.
Who’s it for?
If you’re an acoustic guitarist who enjoys the music I play and create, then this has been designed specifically for you. The College lets me share everything I know with you, in order for you to improve your own ability as a musician whilst keeping you inspired along the way.
What are the options?
There are two membership options for you to choose from: Scholar membership for simple access and Apprentice membership for a more in-depth personalised experience. Their particular benefits are spelled out below.
THE LIBRARY

An online resource of over 100 musically satisfying warm-ups, exercises and study pieces.
New additions are made every month.

THE ARCHIVE

A collection of now unavailable tracks from out-of-print albums and EPs.
26 tracks currently available which take you through my own musical journey rather nicely!
Available to Apprentices only.
SCORES

Browse my full collection of over 60 scores from all of my album, EP, single & video releases.
Organise via things like tuning, difficulty level, etc.
Scholars can browse and see any linked content such as videos.
Apprentices can download all the PDFs (worth over £250 if bought via my online shop).
THE LECTURE THEATRE

VIDEO FEEDBACK

Submit up to two videos of your playing a month for in-depth, personalised feedback from myself.
Available to Apprentices only.

Students have suggested things like video content for The Lecture Theatre, exercises for The Library and Special Guests to invite to our Zoom Meets.

THE JUKEBOX

Features the wonderful musicians I’ve worked with like Innotet (string quartet), Luke Selby (drums) and Sönke Meinen (guitar duets).

ONLINE TUTORIALS

Access to disounted rates for 1-2-1 online tutorials on Zoom.
Scholars save £10/session.
Apprentices save £15/session.
THE COMMON ROOM

the community side of The College which takes on a few different forms as follows:
The Zoom Meet: a monthly social on Zoom where you can hang with fellow students, play a tune, and we often welcome special guests to perform and answer questions.
The Clinic: a monthly Zoom event to ask any questions you may have about what you’re currently working on.
Practice Club: twice weekly practice sessions on Zoom where you can practice together with follow students.
Facebook Group: a private group where you can share videos of you're playing with your fellow students, ask questions, and generally hang out.
